Workshop: Navigating the Path to Commercialization
Workshop: Navigating the Path to Commercialization
Monday-Tuesday, June 18-19, 8:30am - 5:00pm
Co-organizers:
Campbell and the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO)

New product commercialization is a critical process that requires strategic engagement from several areas within the organization. Yet, in recent years we have seen a systematic decline in the ability of new products to replace those moving off patent.
In a world of shrinking budgets, aggressive competition and new regulatory pressures, sponsors cannot afford to miss the mark on any aspect of commercialization. Consequently, each product launch requires strategic planning and collaboration to ensure that both the strategic aspects of launch are integrated and closely managed.
Day one of this interactive workshop provides strategic perspectives around key aspects of commercial planning and outlines current best practices for managing cross-functional new product commercialization in the context of today’s global commercial environment.
During day two of this workshop, participants will form competitive teams during an interactive commercial simulation exercise designed to enhance commercial decision-making. In this competitive environment, each team will face unknown elements of scientific, regulatory, and commercial risk. Therefore, collaboration, in-depth analysis, and strategic thinking are required to win the game.
This event is focused on serving the needs of life science professionals working cross-functionally to commercialize new products or in-license phase II & III assets. Attendees will include professionals from:
- Marketing & New Product Commercialization
- Managed Markets
- Brand Directors
- Medical Affairs Professionals
- Sales Professionals
