Company Presentations are the perfect way to increase visibility for your company and attract more partners at the BIO International Convention. Company Presentations are open to all BIO International Convention attendees.
Did you know--company presenters tend to receive double the number of requests than non-presenters, and schedule twice as many meetings than non-presenting companies? Presenting companies are also spotlighted in BIO's marketing materials leading up to the event, as well as onsite. Please read below for more information on this opportunity.
Applications to present at the BIO International Convention in Boston are now open.
Early applications will be given preference, and time slots are limited. Once the schedule is full, no additional company presentations will be accepted.
Session Format: 13 minute sessions featuring a particular company, organization, or geographical region.
Once your application is submitted, a selection committee will review your submission and send a response within one week. Not all applications will be accepted. Accepted presenters must purchase a Convention Access & Partnering pass. There are additional fees for presenting. More information on presentation fees can be found in the FAQs below.
Q: Who can present?
A: Biotech and pharma companies, as well as a variety of other organizations who work in these areas. The majority focus on therapeutics and are R&D heavy with clear pipelines. Other companies who present range from environmental biotechs to CROs/CMOs, Patient Advocacy Groups, universities, and more.
Q: What registration pass do I need to present?
A: You must purchase a Convention Access & Partnering pass.
Q: Do I need to register to attend BIO 2018 before submitting my presentation application?
A: Nope! You can apply to present before you register for the Convention, or vice-versa. Registration will open in 2018.
Q: Are there any additional fees associated with presenting?
A: Yes. In addition to purchasing one of the packages listed above, presenting companies must pay a presentation fee. In 2017, fees were an additional $1,280 for BIO members and $1,600 for BIO non-members.
Q: Why present?
A: This is a great way to reach out to a global audience to increase your visibility in the biotech world, as well as create more partnering meetings with investors and executives. Presenting companies tend to receive more than twice the amount of meeting requests than non-presenting companies, and end up scheduling close to twice as many meetings!
Q: Are there options to help smaller companies get a chance to present?
A: BIO runs the Buzz of BIO competition each year. Beginning in Spring 2018, companies can enter to win free registration and a free company presentation in the BIO Business Forum. The winner is decided by voters who believe the company to be the most interesting and innovative. Click here to view last year's winners.
Q: Who will attend the presentations?
A: While company presentations are a part of the BIO Business Forum, presentations are open to all BIO International Convention attendees.
Q: Does an attendee have to have Business Forum access to enter the presentation or to schedule a partnering meeting with me later on?
A: No, they can have any registration type to enter the presentation. However, if that person is interested in scheduling a meeting with you and does not have Business Forum access, we will only be able to schedule the meeting if they have space open in their exhibit booth at a mutually convenient time. (There will be Partnering desks onsite to help with last minute meetings.)
Q: Where will the presentations be held within the Convention?
A: This year, company presentations will be held right outside the BIO Business Forum.
